The Ravaging Tide- First Year Book and WebsiteThe 2007-2008 First Year Book is the "The Ravaging Tide: Strange Weather, Future Katrinas, and the Coming Death of America’s Coastal Cities," by Mike Tidwell. A community website is available by clicking here. It includes resources about climate change, events related to the first year book and provides an opportunity for community input on the project. UM Picked in Top 15 Greenest CampusesIn August 2007, the University of Maryland was named one of the Top 15 Green Colleges and Universities by "Grist", an online environmental magazine based in Seattle. Maryland was lauded for student willingness to raise fees to pay for clean energy and other energy conserving measures.
